Great Irish pub. Excellent selection of beers, friendly staff and AWESOME food. I got a burger with Swiss, mushrooms and horseradish. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious. Comes with fries which we seasoned great and very crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. Went with 2 friends. One got the ultimate bacon burger which was loaded with bacon and the other got the bang bang shrimp wrap. Both said they were awesome. Definitely going back again

Long story short, I accidently ended up in New Jersey while on business in Pennsylvania and then I found this Tavern. @#!&, yes! The food was so good. The wings were crispy and tender, and the ghost pepper sauce had a hint of heat. The beer menu was on point and had things on it that I haven't had in over a decade. The fish in the fish and chips was good, not soggy or greasy at all. The fries were good too, even if they're not technically the right cut for fish and chips. Whatever! It was good. On top of all that, the service was good and attentive. Go here, eat everything, tip big. You will not regret it.

This places is awesome! I felt like I was in an episode of Cheers. Mike, the Bartender was awesome! I got to taste a few of the beers before deciding on my FAVORITE. Chocolate and Pineapple Beer. OMG so good! Then he recommended the Corn Beef sandwich. So good. Their fries are seasoned perfectly. I would definitely come back. Great hang out bar with cool people and good food.

Found this place on a happy accident due to a delayed flight out of Trenton-Mercer. It was fantastic with fabulous service and an amazing menu! Unique food items and just all around delicious! We will definitely be back!

This food is higher quality than expected! This is one of the best HOME MADE black bean VEGGIE BURGERS in central jersey! ((Not an impossible burger! And NOT loaded with red peppers like most veggie burgers)) Burgers come with curly fries- no fry alternatives but they are seasoned well. Also try the boneless chicken apps- white meat and perfectly fried and without heavy breading. You can make reservations, but even when it’s busy, you can still enjoy a conversation at your table without it being extremely loud. Stopped there a few times when I went to TCNJ. Many years later we just we went for Father’s Day- and my parents thought they food was better than Jimmies and Rossi’s- but most burgers are better than Rossi’s!

My wife tried the Thai boneless wings and the Mahi Mahi tacos. She absolutely loved the wing sauce and said the tacos were filled with perfectly cooked fish. The service was outstanding. We will definitely return.

High quality bar food. Firkin Tavern is better than Disney world, I’m not joking. The chicken pretzel sammich is top tier. Have to get one every time because I love it so deeply (even though literally every single item on the menu is phenomenal). Honorable mention to firkin mac and cheese which definitely deserves a special shoutout of her own. Great draft menu as well

Terrific lunch at Firkin's. I was craving short ribs and they did not disappoint. Short ribs French dip was absolutely delicious. The meat was plentiful and so tender. It definitely satisfied my craving. I hope they add short rib grilled cheese to the menu! My husband had the Thai boneless wings and Mahi Mahi tacos. He loved the sauce on the wings and said the tacos were stuffed with perfectly cooked fish. Service was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

Recently, Firk’s posted online that they now have gluten free burger buns…being celiac myself, I had to go try it out. It was delicious! It felt amazing eating a real burger again, it made me so incredibly happy. The bun felt and tasted like you just toasted a normal bun, which is all a celiac can ask for haha. I’ll definitely be returning soon just for the gluten free burger buns!

I had a great experience here, especially given my severe food allergies. Even on a busy Saturday night, the staff was incredibly accommodating. I spoke with the manager, Ali, who was attentive, and very thorough, and made sure my allergies were clearly communicated to the kitchen. As someone with a severe milk and tree nut allergy, that level of care really stood out. A tip for people with food allergies, get your order to go.. so less cross contamination happens. That was a good call since we were sitting at a busy bar. The chicken dumplings were delicious, and the homemade teriyaki sauce was a highlight, so good I could have eaten it on its own. The only downside was the pricing. At $15.99 for six smaller fried dumplings, it felt a bit high for a starter, more in line with fine dining or NYC pricing. That said, the quality and overall experience were strong. I was introduced to this spot by a friend’s friend, (Dylan) who clearly knows the place well! I can see why, it was packed and full of energy. I was surprised I hadn’t been here before. Overall, a great first visit. I’ll definitely be back, especially for a Guinness. Cheers!
